Teams from Millard Horizon’s culinary academy, Millard South and Millard North competed at the first annual “High School Culinary Throw Down.”  The event, sponsored by Millard Food Service and Sodexo, was held Jan. 31 at Millard South. Students were given two hours to prepare a salad, side and entree for judges to sample and rate.  
 
Food service kitchen personnel and managers assisted with the competition.  Judges were Dave Anderson, Linda Poole, Angelo Passarelli and Jim Sutfin.
